STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Penn State senior Taylor Mitcham started her own waterless carwash business after she discovered how well the product works in cold weather, according to the Centre Daily.
When Mitcham moved from Los Angeles to the much colder State College, she wasn’t sure how to clean her car in the winter, so she ordered some samples of waterless carwash product. She said all the samples froze except one, stated the article.
Mitcham visited Penn State’s Small Business Development Center to learn about starting a business, and she held a ribbon cutting for her new venture on Thursday, Aug. 31, said the article.
The waterless carwash spray Mitcham uses is liquid and biodegradable, she says in the article. After spraying, it needs to set for a few seconds, and then it is wiped up with a microfiber towel.
In the article, Mitcham says watching her parents rise in their careers was an inspiration to her.
