Collision repair chain expands presence in Colorado

CHICAGO —The Boyd Group Inc. recently acquired two repair locations in Western Colorado.

CHICAGO — The Boyd Group Inc. announced the recent opening of two Gerber Collision & Glass locations in Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction, Colorado, following a recent acquisition, according to a press release.

Both sites are located in Western Colorado and previously operated as Perri’s Collision Repair & Refinishing, stated the release.

“These locations establish a foothold for us in Western Colorado to complement our 14 locations focused on Denver in the eastern part of the state,” said Tim O’Day, president and chief operating officer of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations, in the release.

He continued in the article, “Both centers are well-established in their markets, with the Grand Junction location serving its community for about 23 years and Glenwood Springs for approximately 10 years. We look forward to building on these strong relationships and serving new customers with the Gerber brand of professional and friendly service.”

The Boyd Group, directly and through subsidiaries, is an operator of non-franchised collision repair centers throughout North America, reported the release, including locations in five Canadian provinces under the trade name Boyd Autobody & Glass and sites in 18 U.S. states under the trade name Gerber Collision & Glass.

The company is also a retail auto glass operator in the U.S. with locations throughout 30 states under the trade names Gerber Collision & Glass, Glass America, Auto Glass Service, Auto Glass Authority and Autoglassonly.com, noted the release.
