Corner Store kicks off Fiesta celebration

SAN ANTONIO — The annual festival featuring parades, food, music and more will take place April 16-26.

SAN ANTONIO — To celebrate its sponsorship of the city’s Fiesta, Corner Stores in the area will offer specially themed treats, according to CSnews.com.

The annual festival will take place April 16-26, noted the article. “It features parades, food, entertainment, music and dancing during the celebration of the city's multicultural heritage.”

The company’s Whoopie Pie mascots will attend the Battle of the Flowers and the Flambeau parades, stated the article. Customers may also see them in the stores and at other Fiesta events.

"Corner Store is proud to be an official sponsor of Fiesta this year, and we wanted to celebrate that fact in the best way we knew how — whoopie style," said Peter Brodnitz, vice president of brand marketing for Corner Stores, in the article. "We're adding more royalty to San Antonio's biggest party with the Whoopie Pie King and Queen. They'll not only be in the Battle of Flowers and Flambeau Parades, but making visits to our stores all over town.”

In addition to the Fiesta celebration, Corner Store will also become the only c-store in the city to offer Coca-Cola Freestyle machines this month, reported the article.
