SOMERSET, England — The South Somerset District Council has agreed to a change of use to allow a carwash to operate at the Box Factory Car Park, according to Westerngazette.co.uk.
A previous application to run a carwash was denied after nearby occupants protested, noted the article. The town council was opposed to the newest application, but the district council gave its approval on March 4.
The wash must meet certain conditions in the approval of the new application, stated the article.

The unit the wash will operate in must be light gray in color to match the surroundings, reported the article. It also must not impact highway access.
“Storage containers by nature are not hugely attractive,” said a council planning officer in the article. “However, in this case the applicant sought advice from the local planning authority prior to submission of the application.”
