INDIANAPOLIS — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana and Crew Carwash are joining forces to raise money to help local children, according to WISH-TV.
On Aug. 22, Crew Carwash will host the fifth annual Crew for Kids fundraiser, stated the article.
Crew Carwash will donate 50 percent of proceeds raised from carwashes to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, continued the article.
The article includes a video which features Darcey Palmer-Schultz, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, and Billy Schaming, president of Crew Carwash.
Schaming reported in the video that the wash has been able to generate over $50,000 in donations in the last few years.
“This is our second largest fundraiser in the year but Crew Carwash is our largest annual corporate supporter because of this event,” said Palmer-Schultz in the video. “It is rare for an organization like ours to be able to raise more than $50,000 in one day; but that is what this event can do for us, and we are really appreciative of that.”
