Crew Carwash contributes to local charity causes

INDIANAPOLIS — Crew Carwash is partnering with the United Way of Howard County to raise funds for the City of Kokomo’s tornado relief fund just weeks after devastating tornadoes tore through the area, stated a press release.

On Saturday, Sept. 10th and Sunday, Sept. 11th, continued the release, Crew will donate 50 percent of all Works washes, a $15 value, and Ultimate washes, a $19 value, at its Kokomo location (1824 E Hoffer Rd.) to the United Way of Howard County.

Crew will also be accepting cash donations that day for the tornado relief fund, and all the money raised will go to providing disaster relief for those affected by the storm, added the release.

“Weeks after tornadoes caused terrible destruction in Kokomo, many residents are displaced and still in need of help,” said Sally Grant, executive vice president of Crew Carwash. “We are so proud to be a part of the Kokomo community and it is our hope that we raise significant funds to help out our neighbors in Howard County.”

Crew Carwash also recently announced that it is donating $44,019 to Big Brothers Big Sisters, stated a company press release.

At its seventh annual Crew for Kids fundraiser on Aug. 27th, the release stated, Crew Carwash committed to donating 50 percent of all Works and Ultimate washes at all 27 locations to Big Brothers Big Sisters and received cash donations throughout the day.

According to the release, the initiative resulted in a total of $44,019 to be donated to four local Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies that serve markets in which Crew has locations: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lafayette, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Vigo County.

“As part of our efforts to help children throughout Indiana, we are so proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters,” said Grant. “Our team members look forward to our Crew for Kids fundraiser every year and we are thrilled to be able to give back to the communities in which we serve.”

In total, Crew has raised more than $394,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters since its inaugural Crew for Kids fundraiser in 2010, noted the release.
