ISELIN, N.J. — The Car Wash Operators of New Jersey (CWONJ) held its annual Fall Membership Meeting on Nov. 10 at the Apa Hotel Woodbridge, according to a press release.
CWONJ President Mike Conte moderated the event, which attracted nearly 50 people, stated the release, and included a panel discussion on “How Your POS Can Make You More Money.”
“We had three great presenters who really know their stuff,” said Conte in the release. “Our members walked away with a lot of good information that will help them increase their bottom line.”
For the panel discussion, reported the release, Innovative Control Systems’ Brian Bath, Micrologic’s Miguel Gonzalez and DRB Systems’ Todd Davy spent an hour discussing everything from how a POS (point-of-sale) can save on labor costs to how its features can help to better market the wash, in addition to much more.
Prior to the panel discussion, continued the release, two carwashes were honored with CWONJ’s first Carwash of the Year Awards, and the recipients were Rt. 130 Car Wash & Express Lube, owned by Chris Vernon, and 33 East Car Wash of Ocean, owned by Jack Aaronson — whose son, Chad, accepted the award on his father’s behalf.
The association’s Fall Membership Meeting wrapped up with the Lifetime Achievement Award, which was presented by Conte to John Criscuolo Sr. of AE Styles Manufacturing, informed the release.
Criscuolo has been in the industry for 53 years, noted the release, and was recognized with this award for his “tireless dedication to the industry in New Jersey and his innovative products that have impacted carwashing.”
