PAMPA, Texas — Shelly Garcia’s family operates Garcia’s Auto Detailing out of their home, and the business is also supporting chemotherapy patients, according to the Pampa News.
Paula’s Bears is a program striving to provide a piece of comfort to cancer patients going through chemo, said the article. Each bear will include a purple ribbon with inspiring words for the patients.
The program is named after Garcia’s mother-in-law, Paula, called Paula Bear by her family, noted the article. She passed away in 2012 after a five-year-long battle with ovarian cancer.

Several businesses in the area are accepting bear donations, and Garcia’s Auto Detailing with donate one bear for every detailing package purchased, reported the article.
Bears will be donated to the Harrington Cancer Center and the pediatric section of Texas Tech, stated Garcia, in the article.
