PORTLAND, ORE. — The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality gave a fine of $6,415 to Joseph Hannah, the operator of Eco Carwash, for a violation of the Oregon storage tank regulations.
The DEQ had found prior violations in 2011 for Eco Friendly failing to meet proper regulations of having a method to detect leaks in the underground tank system, according to the Portland Tribune.
Hannah failed to subsequently provide the necessary documentation that he decommissioned the tanks, according to the article.

The DEQ has ordered that Hannah release the remaining fuel in the tanks by Jan 8.
