FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — A popular carwash has received approval for expansion from a two-bay to a four-bay operation, according to Fredericksburg.com.
The “stacking” of vehicles onto an adjacent street was a source of complaints by residents, who also complained of noise coming from the business late at night, said the article.
Councilman Keith Price said in the article that approving the expansion would leave the neighborhood in better condition.

Residents also complained about the carwash’s lights disturbing them at night, so an agreement was made to redirect the floodlight in the rear of the carwash, noted the article.
In the article, Price said the nearby strip mall was also a likely source for the noise locals complained about.
