EVANSTON, IL ― A passerby walking by the Suds carwash here noticed smoke and called 911, according to an Evanston Now story.
The Feb. 21 story said firefighters arrived within minutes and forced themselves into the building where they found two industrial dryers and their contents on fire.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire and avoid major damage to the rest of the building.
Fire breaks out at NJ carwash
The cause of the fire is under investigation and Fire Chief Greg Klaiber said the carwash may reopen as early as today or tomorrow.
