Frank Bell of BAF Industries passes away

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — BAF Industries Owner Frank Bell passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — John Bell of BAF Industries told PC&D that Owner Frank Bell, 76, passed away peacefully at his home here on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012. Frank’s passing marks the end of an era for BAF Industries, manufacturers of the PRO® Product Line since 1935.

The Nov. 7 email stated that Frank Bell was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Atlanta, GA. He began his professional career in the family business of Burford Automotive Finishes in 1963.

He was gifted with a keen chemical engineering mind, strong business acumen and a cooperative nature. As sales manager, Bell took the company to new heights. In 1976, he became president and co-owner with his father and uncle. In 1996, Bell purchased the family business and became sole owner.

His passion at BAF was product development for customers. This love led to the United States Patent Office granting three Utility Patents in his name as the inventor.

BAF is indebted to his vision and commitment for propelling the company to its present position in the industry, the email noted. His work over the last 50 years in the car care industry has assured success for many decades to come.
