Ft. Myers detailer to appear in second season of Velocity channel’s Competition Ready

FT. MYERS, Fla. — Paul Viens of Power of Excellence Auto Detailing returns to show for second appearance.

FT. MYERS, Fla. — Ft. Myers’ only Air Force One detailer, Paul Viens of Power of Excellence Auto Detailing, got his second casting call to appear at 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 11th at the 2017 Florida RV Super Show at the Florida State Fairgrounds, where Velocity TV’s hit show Competition Ready will begin filming its second season, according to a press release.

This will be the second time Viens will be featured in the popular TV show, the release continued, primarily because of his expertise in custom car paint; he will be working on the basecoat and clearcoat of a top-of-the-line Newmar RV, whose paint job alone costs up to $30,000.

According to the show’s co-host, Mike Phillips from AutoGeek, this is the first RV competition they have ever featured on the show. “The focus of this show is ‘BIG,’” he says. “This will be the biggest challenge for the Competition Ready crew to date, and the biggest team I’ve ever assembled.”

The Competition Ready TV show was picked up for its second season, the release noted, and will begin airing in April and throughout the summer.

Produced by the makers of Car Crazy Central, Overhaulin’, and the “Extreme” series, Competition Ready takes viewers behind the scenes at what it takes to get a classic vehicle ready for competitions and for sale at auctions, the release stated.

“I often have to pinch myself to believe I am doing national TV,” said Viens, who is no stranger to prestigious detailing projects. “You just don’t think when you polish cars for a living that your skill will be on display before a national audience, but I have known Mike for several years and he only trusts those he knows to be qualified to work on these very expensive cars and now RVs. I was thrilled to get the invitation to come back this year and shoot another episode.”

Paul Viens is a certified member of the International Detailing Association (IDA), a certified member of the Detailing Success Network and a member of the 2013 Air Force One Detailing Team at the Seattle Museum of Flight, the release added.

Ft. Myers area car and truck owners have an elite automotive detailer and paint correction specialist who is recognized nationally for his skill and precision, the release concluded.

To catch Paul before he leaves for Tampa, you may contact him at Power of Excellence Auto Detailing at (239) 281-3191.
