ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Five gas stations in the Orange County area are not just a place where customers go to fill up their tanks or get their cars washed, according to the Orange County Register.
A gas station in Laguna Hills has a carwash and detail center in addition to a café with granite tables, flat screens TVs, gelato and massage chairs, said the article. The facility’s women’s restroom has marble walls and countertop, and it is kept immaculately clean.
Irvine has a station with a saltwater aquarium housing clown fish. Customers can also browse through a large selection of snacks and drinks, some of them international, including Guinness beer, stated the article.
A Chevron station in Laguna Beach had an impressive selection of red, white and sparkling wines. The women’s bathroom also featured marble countertops and orchids, reported the article.
Another gas station with a unique draw for customers was a Thrifty station in Anaheim. While not as fancy as the others on the list, the average cost of gas was about 24 cents less than the national average, stated the article.
The last carwash on the list was a Chevron found to have the cleanest window-washing fluid. This can be a turn-off or draw for customers who want to clean their windshields on trips. The sponge and water were clean, and paper towels were plentiful, explained the article.
