CHICAGO — The Boyd Group Inc. announced the recent acquisition and opening of four collision repair centers in Utah, according to a press release.
The sites previously operated under the name Shine Collision Repair and are located in Salt Lake City, Sandy, Ogden and Murray, stated the release.
“We are very pleased to establish a presence in Utah with these four locations,” said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations, in the release. “They form a regional footprint in the state that we expect to build on. We are also pleased that Dave Kelsch, the founder of Shine Collision Repair, will be joining Gerber as the market leader overseeing our new Utah locations.”
These acquired repair centers are the first Utah-based locations for Gerber Collision & Glass, reported the release.
“We are excited to become part of the Gerber family,” stated Kelsch in the release. “We have proudly served the Salt Lake County region since 1986, and our customers can count on the same high-quality service and efficiency that we are known for, backed by a national brand.”
Directly and through subsidiaries, the Boyd Group is a North American operator of non-franchised collision repair centers, noted the release, with locations in five Canadian provinces under the trade name Boyd Autobody & Glass and in 18 states in the U.S. under the name Gerber Collision & Glass.
