CHICAGO — Each year on Nov. 11, Grace For Vets brings the carwash industry together to give away free washes to all veterans and active duty military, according to a press release.
Carwashes that are interested in getting involved for 2016 can register for free today at the organization’s website, www.graceforvets.org, stated the release.
Once a carwash registers, reported the release, the business will have access to free tools and materials to promote its participation.
The release continued by explaining the benefits of joining Grace For Vets’ cause:
- Recognition for being part of an industrywide program which supports all military service
- Helps to increase business by honoring veterans and active duty military
- Provides great public relations (PR) for the carwashes that participate as well as the entire industry
- And offers a way to reach out to military personnel to say thank you.
Any carwash type, including hand washes, in-bay automatics, full-serves, self-serves and exterior-service automatics, can participate in the program, informed the release, as long as they provide free washes.
To date, added the release, more than 1.2 million washes have been provided for free to veterans and active duty military.
In 2015, noted the release, an estimated 268,677 free carwashes were given away by around 1,475 companies at about 3,319 locations across four countries.
