The grand opening celebration of the new location, which took place from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. was “free to anyone who loves his or her vehicles, including hobbyists, car enthusiasts, collectors, automotive DIYers," or those committed to car care,” noted the release.
Clean Planet Owner Craig MacKay is an official Air Force One detailer, the release noted, and demonstrated how to hand wash vehicles without leaving swirls, streaks or water spots. There are three more “Open Garage” events scheduled for the summer, with the final one being an advanced course for those who’ve previously attended at least two of the prior sessions.

“Some people wonder why we want to show car owners how to do what we do. The truth is, the more involved the customer is in the upkeep of their vehicles, the easier it is for us to explain why we recommend the processes, the products, and the preventative measures we do,” said MacKay.
At the event, Clean Planet also introduced a line of retail cleaning products, and selling them at 50 percent off. All attendees, noted the release, received a free Paint Assessment, and those who brought a friend, also received $50 off of a Drive-Pur Odor Removal & Bacteria Treatment, the release continued.
