Grease Monkey celebrates grand opening of Laredo center

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — The grand opening event for the new Grease Monkey® location in Laredo, Texas, took place March 4-6.

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Grease Monkey® International Inc. recently opened its new center in Laredo, Texas, on Feb. 29, according to a press release.

The center hosted its grand opening event, stated the release, which started at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 4, lasting until Sunday, March 6.

The event featured drawings and giveaways, food and refreshments, money-saving promotions on oil changes as well as a Mobil 1 race car, reported the release.

In addition to oil change services, the Laredo location features a high-tech carwash with many additional features, continued the release, including complimentary vacuuming stations.

“Grease Monkey® International Inc. is confident this center will not only keep its customers happy, but also its local community,” explained the release. “The center’s owner, Robert A. Rodriguez, is a man filled with compassion, dedication and enthusiasm. Even before the center opened, Robert and his team got involved in their local neighborhood by being a sponsor of a fundraising event for Communities in Schools of Laredo. It is going to be one exciting ride for Grease Monkey® Laredo and its community.”

Founded in 1978, Grease Monkey International is a large automotive maintenance chain not owned by a major oil company, informed the release.

The chain has more than 300 centers throughout the U.S., Latin America and China, noted the release.
