When it comes to opening a new carwash, one way to draw some attention and make a difference is to partner with a local charity.
Boomerang Carwash recently celebrated the opening of its 30th location by partnering with the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and raised over $4,000.

How to start a carwash Tip #1: Hold the grand opening over several days
Grand opening celebrations don't have to be held on just one or two days. Boomerang held it's grand opening celebration between June 18 and July 12. For those 24 days, it gave away free washes and allowed customers to donate to the children's hospital.
How to start a carwash Tip #2: Allow customers to choose how much to donate
Boomerang Carwash Vice President of Marketing Ed Colvard stated in the press release that they allow their customers to choose how much to donate.
“We provide our top wash package free to the public so if they feel compelled they can then donate to the charity in addition to our direct donations," Colvard stated in the story.:
How to start a carwash Tip #3: Make a difference
Even though it will cost you money, you will gain respect and hopefully loyal customers through your charitable donations. According to Colvard, since they began their grand opening campaigns in 2005, they have contributed over $500,000 to local charities [through] direct donations and fundraisers.
