How to use the holiday weekend effectively

The upcoming three-day long Memorial Day holiday can mean more customers and more revenue for your business if you follow these tips.

Memorial Day weekend is almost here. And while most Americans will be focused on family gatherings, outdoor barbecues and picnics, it's also an advantageous time for you as a business owner to attract new sales and even new customers. And, even though you're more than likely going to be closed on Monday, you can certainly get into the spirt of the weekend now and continue the patriotism the following week.

Here are a few ideas to help you use this national holiday to boost your business:

  • Show your patriotic spirit by offering discounted or even free services to Veterans or those currently serving in the military. You could do the same for spouses of those serving, or parents of children who are currently overseas.
  • Put up an American flag outside your business.
  • A lot of people think of bargain shopping and major sales when it comes to this upcoming weekend. Use this time to place an advertisement in the local paper or in a circular.
  • Don a red poppy on your shirt in honor of those who died while serving. Ask your employees to do the same.

soft-touch, touch-free, carwash, brush, water, spray

Most folks lead hectic lives — balancing work and personal responsibilities can sometimes be overwhelming. Whether they are battling traffic during the morning commute, shuttling kids back and forth from soccer games or heading to the great outdoors to do a little camping, their vehicles’ cleanliness is compromised on a daily basis. While the majority of car owners would love to pamper their rides with a nice, long hand washing and thorough personal detailing, they simply do not have the extra time to spare. They opt for the convenience and value of an automatic carwash to keep their automotive investments looking good.
