GARLAND, Texas — According to www.dallasnews.com, 9-month-old Victoria Tran was found dead inside a vehicle at a carwash on Aug. 1st.
First responders were called at around 5:15 pm to Jerry’s Express Car Wash, where paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene, the article continued.
The girl’s father found her unconscious when he returned to the vehicle, the article noted.
It was unclear how long the baby had been in the vehicle or where her father had been, the article stated.
Police reported that the child’s death appeared to have been the result of being left in the vehicle in the heat, the article added.
According to the National Weather Service, it was 95 degrees at 5:15 pm at DFW International Airport, the article stated.
No charges have been filed, the article concluded.
UPDATE: According to an update by dfw.cbslocal.com, the baby had been in the car for over seven hours before her father found her.
The father had dropped the mother off at work in the morning and then forgot to drop his daughter off at daycare, the article continued.
He drove around to dealerships and the carwash all day before realizing she was in the car seat, the article noted.
He could face criminal charges, the article concluded.
