International technology company launches learning center

ABERDEEN, Scotland — The facility allows students and customers to collaborate and learn about the company’s innovations.

ABERDEEN, Scotland — 3M has opened its Customer Engagement Centre (CEC) for business partners and customers to develop innovative ideas, according to enterpriseenergy.org.

The facility was “created to encourage collaborative working across the oil and gas sector,” said the article.

According to the article, 3M has been supportive of young people studying science, technology, math and science (STEM) field. The CEC will encourage schools and colleges to visit and learn about the company’s inventions, noted the article.

Products visitors can learn about include Glass Bubbles, specialist tapes, abrasives and Novec1230 Fire Protection Fluid, hearing protection, welding masks and more, stated Digital Marketing Executive Kirstie Heneghan, in the article.
