Kwik Trip plans to build new location

SARTELL, Minn. — If approved, the site will include a gas station and carwash.

SARTELL, Minn. — Kwik Trip Inc. is planning to build a new location in Sartell, according to AM 1240 WJON.

Anita Rasmussen, director of Planning and Community Development, reported that the convenience store wants to build a 9,000-square-foot gas station and carwash, stated the article.

A conditional use permit must be approved for the carwash to be built due to zoning requirements on the site, continued the article.

If approved by the Sartell Planning Commission, reported the article, a public hearing will be held before final action is taken by City Council.

According to Rasmussen, the article added, Kwik Trip hopes to open the new location by the end of 2016.

The new c-store, if approved, will be the fourth Kwik Trip location within the St. Cloud metropolitan area, the article noted, and the company also plans to open two stores in St. Cloud and one in Waite Park within the next year.

According to the release, the company has been expanding rapidly in recent years, and these new acquisitions will help to further solidify its position as an emerging leader in the membership-based carwash industry.
