LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Thorntons Inc. hopes to register one million customers in its loyalty program by the end of the first quarter of 2015, according to CSPnet.com.
The c-store company launched the Refreshing Rewards program in September 2014, noted the article. It encourages members to visit stores more often with promotions.
The program was built with Paytronix Systems Inc.’s Rules & Wallets, reported the article. Thorntons targets customers based on their habits.

“For gas-only customers, the goal is to compel a visit to the c-store; for frequent c-store users, the program leverages each customer's transaction history to drive incremental visits,” shared the article.
Through the program Thorntons has received an extra visit per member each month, stated the article. It will encourage extra purchases as well, like breakfast foods or milk.
Thorntons is based in Lousville and operates more than 180 locations in six states.
