Moo Moo Express Car Wash raises $14,000 for Central Ohio families in need
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Moo Moo Express Car Wash is proud to announce the monetary donation of $14,074 to the Wagons Ho Ho Ho non-profit organization, according to a press release.
The donations were collected on Nov. 16-18, 2018 at all 14 Central Ohio Moo Moo Express Car Wash locations, with the check presentation occurring at the Wagons Ho Ho Ho “Build Day,” which took place Dec. 1, 2018, the release continued.
Throughout the Wagons Ho Ho Ho Donation Campaign, Moo Moo Express offered a free “Whole Plus” carwash ($13 value) to customers in exchange for a $5 monetary donation, the release noted; throughout the weekend campaign, Moo Moo gave away more than 2,800 free carwashes, totaling more than $36,000 at full retail value.
“This Christmas will be a little brighter for local families in need thanks to our customer’s generosity,” said John Roush, CEO of Express Wash Concepts and founding partner of Moo Moo Express Car Wash. “Not only did we end the year with our largest donation campaign to date, we had the unique opportunity to actually help build 1,500 red wagons and fill them with Christmas dinner. It was an experience that I know left quite the impression on both myself and our staff.”
Wagons Ho Ho Ho is 100 percent volunteer run, and 100 percent of all proceeds go directly toward the purchase of red wagons and food to help local families in need during the holidays, the release added.
The organization works year-round to fundraise, source and purchase red wagons that, once assembled, are stuffed with a Christmas dinner and then delivered to children who otherwise wouldn’t have a Christmas, the release noted.
Moo Moo Express currently operates in 14 Central Ohio communities; two additional locations are currently under construction, with both Northland and Newark locations scheduled to open in early 2019, the release concluded.
