Zep Vehicle Care chooses EverWash as preferred membership partner

EAGAN, Minn. — Zep Vehicle Care Inc. has named EverWash Inc. as its preferred unlimited wash club partner, according to a press release.

Under this new partnership, and starting in the Northeast, Zep will promote and provide the EverWash membership sales, marketing and subscription management platform to its carwash customers, helping them substantially increase wash volume and revenue, the release continued.

“We found that customers with successful membership programs were washing more cars, using more chemicals and increasing their profits,” said Greg Heyer, chief commercial officer for Zep Vehicle Care. “EverWash has positioned themselves as the leader in the carwash industry when it comes to selling, managing and marketing membership while driving monthly recurring revenue to their wash partners. It was an easy decision to choose them as a strategic partner for helping our customers drive membership.”

“Just like how Zep’s industry-leading chemistry and soaps help wash operators produce the cleanest vehicles possible, our membership sales and subscription management platform provides the surest, quickest route to more members, more profit and the most comprehensive membership solution in the industry,” said John Cassady, EverWash CEO. “We’re excited for the opportunity to team up with such a well-established partner in Zep Vehicle Care to help more carwashes grow their monthly recurring revenue stream like never before.”

Detail Mafia awards, recognitions, newly minted masters and ‘Made-Men’ inductees take centerstage at Detailing Success’ annual meeting at SEMA

BIG BEAR, Calif. — Master automotive and aircraft detailer Renny Doyle, known as “The Detailer of Air Force One,” announced a slew of award winners, Detail Mafia inductees and certified detailing Masters at the annual meeting of the Detailing Success Network and Detail Mafia held at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, according to a press release.

Jim Goguen, owner of Jim’s Auto Installations and Detailing Center in Ipswich, Massachusetts, and one of the original Air Force One Detailers dating back to 2007, won the coveted Detailer of the Year award, the release continued.

Goguen is not only a successful automotive detailer and business owner but also vice president of Doyle’s Detail Mafia and senior-level mentor to dozens of members of the network, the release added.

Oscar Hernandez of Eight O Five Detail Shop in Ventura, Calififornia, won Rookie of the Year; Chris Woolman of Octane Detailing in Reseda, California, won the 2019 Outstanding Service Award; and William Lara of Miami Luxe Detailing and Kelly Mankin of Ake Ake Professional Detailing in Kona, Hawaii, were both awarded Essence of Mafia recognitions for their representation of the Network’s famous Detail Mafia within the detailing industry, the release stated.

The Detail Mafia are an exclusive group of “Made-Men and Made-Women” who, over the past year, have proven themselves to be leaders and mentors, who are committed to ongoing education and who are not just skilled detailers but also artisans in the care and maintenance of automotive paint and automotive interiors, the release noted.

They are considered the most accomplished and technologically advanced team of automotive detailers in the U.S., the release added.

Doyle inducted three newly “Made Men” into the Detail Mafia at the awards ceremony, including Jeff Franzino of Master of Shine in Woodland Hills, California; James “Jimmy Buff-It” Akers of T1Detailing in Manteca, California; and Daniel Gill of D&P Auto Detailing in Wilsonville, Alabama, the release continued.

In addition, Doyle newly knighted four longtime members of the group as Master-level detailers: the highest level of training, certification and experience available as an automotive detailer, the release noted.

New Masters include Chris and Christian Parker of Detail Boss in Scottsdale, Arizona; Justin “JL” Labato of JL’s Showroom Detailing in Melbourne, Florida; and Bobby Poinsett of Detail Driven in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the release added.

SEMA has long been the site of the Annual Meeting of the Detailing Success Network members and the Detail Mafia; however, this year more than 80 members of the network were on-hand (by far the largest ever), and nearly 500 automotive industry professionals and business leaders from across the automotive spectrum attended Doyle’s 8th Annual Gathering of Detailing Professionals, the release stated.

Many members of the Detail Mafia, all of whom are also members of Doyle’s Air Force One Detailing Team at Seattle’s Museum of Flight, made guest appearances in a variety of exhibits for Flex North America, P&S Detail Sales and demonstrating Doyle’s popular signature Double Black car care product line, the release concluded.

Tioga Street Carwash to open by end of year

WELLSBORO, Pa. — According to www.tiogapublishing.com, Christina and Jeremy VanDergrift will own and operate the four-bay, 35-by-75-foot Tioga Street Carwash, which is due to open before the end of the year.

Christina said that Tioga Street will offer different products from other carwashes in the area, the article continued.

The carwash features two self-serve bays with a wand, brush and drier, while the other two bays are automatics, one of which is a friction wash and the other touch-free, the article noted.

An exterior self-serve bay on the property can accommodate larger vehicles, trailers, motorhomes and even boats, the article stated.

There will also be four vacuums on the vacuum island on the northern end of the lot, one of which will be a fragrance vacuum, the article continued.

The carwash broke ground on July 8th and progressed quickly, the article stated.

Christina said she wanted the carwash to look “old school but classy.”

Christina said there was a worrisome moment when all the local asphalt factories were scheduled to close Friday, Nov. 15th, and though the VanDergfits had received the Highway Occupancy Permit a few weeks prior to that and had scheduled the paving, they were waiting to see if the weather would cooperate; it did, the article reported.

The carwash’s website, www.tiogastreetcarwash.com, is under construction, but once it goes live, it will offer a Wash Access Loyalty System, where customers will be able to sign up and get a card or unique code to use at the wash, purchase discounted washes or buy in bulk for a fleet, the article concluded.
