Mountain Dew^® taps Autobell^® Car Wash for video project with racing stars Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Chase Elliott

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mountain Dew recently tapped Autobell Car Wash to provide an employee candidate and celebrity workplace for the soft drink’s national DEW Time Off (D.T.O.) campaign, in which the employee receives a surprise opportunity to spend the day pursuing his or her personal passion while a celebrity works in the employee’s place, all with film crew in tow, according to a press release.

Kira, a Mooresville, North Carolina, Autobell employee and Taekwondo black belt, spent the day honing her martial arts skills with a Krav Maga trainer, while racing stars Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Chase Elliott took Kira’s place greeting customers and finishing cars at Autobell, the release concluded.

Detail Garage revs up presence in South Florida with West Palm Beach store

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — South Florida is home to the world’s newest Detail Garage, according to a press release.

The destination retail store for car lovers is opening a new location Saturday, June 29th at 1379 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach, the release continued. 

David Berzner and Eddie Lopez, the store co-owners, opened their first Detail Garage franchise in Fort Lauderdale in August 2018, the release noted.

After a few months, Berzner said they realized that one store would not be enough to support the large car scene in South Florida, the release added.

“There are many people here who have awesome cars but don’t know how to properly take care of them,” Berzner said. “We opened our Detail Garage stores to help change that.”

The co-owners are working to create a high-energy, fun place where car lovers will feel welcome and at home, the release noted.

Although Berzner and Lopez previously worked in the grocery business and food distribution industry, their shared passion for cars and car care led them to open a Detail Garage together, the release stated.

Lopez said he was thrilled by how excited customers were to return to the store to show that a suggested product worked as advertised, the release continued. 

Detail Garage sells premium, quality and professional auto detailing and car care products, including soaps, waxes, cleaners, equipment and accessories, the release noted.

Like all Detail Garage locations, the West Palm Beach store staff will offer in-store education and host do-it-yourself workshops to help their customers understand the proper way to care for their vehicles, the release added.

Detail Garage locations also serve as gathering places for individuals who share a passion for cars and keeping them clean, the release noted.

The West Palm Beach store will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Moo Moo Express Car Wash donates over 3,250 carwashes, raises $16,270 for the YMCA of Central Ohio’s Camp Willson

COLUMBUS, Ohio —​ Moo Moo Express Car Wash is proud to announce the donation of $16,270 to the YMCA of Central Ohio’s overnight camp: Camp Willson, according to a press release.

The donations were collected May 24-26, 2019 at all 16 Central Ohio Moo Moo Express Car Wash locations and have been designated to help provide financial assistance to families to send their children to YMCA Summer Camp, the release continued.

Throughout the Camp Willson donation weekend, Moo Moo Express offered a free “Whole Plus” carwash ($13 value) to customers in exchange for a $5 monetary donation, the release noted.

One hundred percent of proceeds benefitted the Camp Willson campaign, the release added.

At the campaign’s conclusion, Moo Moo had given away more than 3,254 free carwashes, totaling more than $42,300 at full retail value, the release stated.

“We’re very proud to give local children — who might otherwise not have the opportunity — the financial ability to experience overnight camp with the YMCA,” said John Roush, CEO of Express Wash Concepts and founding partner of Moo Moo Express Car Wash. “Once again, the immense support of our staff and customers produced incredible results, and we thank them greatly for their efforts.”  

All American Car Wash reopens after 40-day remodel

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — According to www.texomashomepage.com, All American Car Wash on Southwest Pkwy. reopened after being closed for almost two months during a much-needed remodel.

Owner Larry Aryes said that while a carwash used to take 30 minutes to complete, it will now take only five to 10 minutes — all while conserving water, the article continued.

Ayres has owned the carwash for 22 years now, and while he has always sought to make it environmentally friendly, he’s stepping up the game now, the article added.

“We use 20 gallons of fresh water for each car; every bit of the water that sprays into the tunnel gets into the trench, and it just recycles. So, 80% of the water that goes onto a car ends up in our recycle pit and [is] used in the tunnel over and over after it gets filtered,” Ayres said.

Ayres decided to upgrade the entire carwash in order to give customers the convenience they wanted, the article noted.

“We even upgraded our Lube Center with new technology also, where you can be in and get an oil change in ten minutes, then you can go through the carwash in three minutes; so, from the time you pull off the street to get an oil change, you can be through the oil change and through the carwash and back on the road again in 15 minutes,” Ayres said.

All American Car Wash will hold a ribbon cutting on July 11th at 2 p.m., and the business is holding a contest on Facebook leading up to the ceremony, the article concluded.
