Zips Car Wash ends year with 99 locations
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On the heels of two recent acquisitions in Texas and Tennessee, Zips Car Wash wraps up 2017 with the purchase of Road Runner Express Wash in Lake Worth, Florida, according to a company press release.
As noted in the release, the acquisition, which was finalized on Dec. 21, 2017, now gives the chain four South Florida locations:
- 3952 Pinehurst Dr., Lake Worth, FL 33467
- 3008 South Congress Ave., Boynton Beach, FL 33426
- 1801 Palm Ave., Miramar, FL 33025
- 17551 NW 27th Ave., Miami Gardens, FL 33056.
“Our growth in Florida alone in 2017 has been tremendous, with the addition of stores in Pensacola, Jacksonville and Miramar, we now operate 16 stores in the Sunshine State,” said Brett Overman, founder and chairman of Zips Car Wash. “We’re excited to expand our footprint in South Florida, an area where carwashing is a huge need,” he added.
Both the concentrated population and coastal environment increase the need for carwash locations in South Florida, continued the press release; according to the company’s Operations Team, frequent carwashing is one way to avoid rust formation on vehicles that are exposed to life near the ocean.
“We feel our brand allows customers to wash frequently at an affordable rate with the best express carwashing experience out there,” said Overman. “We can’t wait to break 100 in 2018 and hope to bring our culture of carwashing to more communities,” he added.
The Wash Tub opens 24th location
SAN ANTONIO — The Wash Tub Car Washes recently opened its 24th Full Service Car Wash location, according to a company press release.
Currently ranked No. 13 on Professional Carwashing & Detailing’s Top 50 U.S. Conveyor Carwashes list, The Wash Tub continues to expand in San Antonio and South Texas, added the release.
According to the press release, 2018 will be a growth year for The Wash Tub as construction has already started on its 25th full service carwash location in Helotes, Texas.
