CHICAGO — Though the release date for Microsoft’s Surface tablet computer will not be released for a few weeks, a bizarre guerilla advertisement for the device has showed up on the side of a hand carwash and detail shop here, networkworld.com reported.
The Oct. 5 story is written by someone who noticed the painted ad on the side of We’ll Clean Hand Car Wash. After looking at the wall closely, the writer decided the paintings are “bonafied Microsoft guerilla style marketing.”

The writer goes on to guess that there may be a method to the strange ad’s “madness.” There is a heavily trafficked Apple Store .1 miles away from the detail shop.
