TUCSON, Ariz. — Mister Car Wash recently announced the acquisition of Cruz Thru Car Wash, a chain of 10 express stores based in Bakersfield, California, according to a press release.
“Cruz Thru is widely considered one of the most innovative, high-volume carwashes in the industry and a great platform for entry into California,” said Casey Lindsay, director of acquisitions for Mister Car Wash.
“We’re incredibly honored to acquire a prestigious business like Cruz Thru. From the minute we saw their operations, we became huge fans. They’ve got an intense focus on customer service and share our people-first culture,” said John Lai, president and CEO of Mister Car Wash.
Cruz Thru Car Wash owners, Raymond Roselle, Frank Hobin and Terry Houchin, are confident of the business’ continued success under the Mister brand, the release added.
“We’ve been honored to serve the Bakersfield community for the last 15 years, and it wasn’t an easy decision to sell. We wanted a company that matched the culture we’ve built,” said Roselle.
“In working with the Mister Car Wash team, we knew our people and customers would be in excellent hands,” added Houchin.
“Mister has a proven track record of integrating carwash operations, and we are confident that the business we’ve built will be respected and taken care of,” said Hobin. “We’ve been impressed with their professionalism and integrity as a business, and we are excited for the opportunities this transition will bring for the team of people at Cruz Thru.”
Mister Car Wash now operates 222 carwashes and 34 express lubes in 21 states.
