Mister Car Wash announces acquisition of Prime Shine Car Wash

TUCSON, Ariz. — With this, Mister adds 19 locations to its family.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Mister Car Wash has announced its acquisition of Prime Shine Car Wash, a chain of 19 express stores based in Modesto, California, on Dec. 7, 2018, according to a press release.

“The Prime Shine organization is a gold standard in the industry, and we couldn’t be more pleased to welcome them into the Mister family,” said Casey Lindsay, vice president, mergers and acquisitions for Mister Car Wash.

“We are honored to be entrusted with one of the industry’s best businesses,” said John Lai, president and CEO of Mister Car Wash. “The Porges family has built a business that is grounded in service and giving back, and is a pillar within the Central Valley community.”

Prime Shine Car Wash Owners, Norm and Evan Porges, are confident of the business’ continued success under the Mister brand, the release continued.

“Finding the right company to continue our legacy was important to us,” said Norm Porges, founder/chairman of Prime Shine. “We spent considerable time vetting potential buyers for one that would match our people-first culture and passion for washing cars. Mister Car Wash is that perfect fit.”

“We know that our employees, customers and community will be in good hands with Mister Car Wash,” added Evan Porges, president/CEO of Prime Shine. “We’ve seen their track record of integrating businesses and knew they would be the people to continue the Prime Shine legacy.”

Customers of Prime Shine can expect the business to continue to operate as normal following the purchase, the release added.

Throughout the next year, Mister Car Wash will be working closely with the Prime Shine team to rebrand the stores and optimize service and product offerings, the release concluded.
