UNITED KINGDOM — A man’s brand new £75,000 BMW was damaged in a carwash at Morrisons Supermarket, according to swns.com.
David Elliot was inside his 6 Series Gran Coupe when the back window shattered inside the tunnel.
The safety mechanism did not cut off the machine, but instead, the roller continued the rise, pushing the boot up into the back window, said the article.
Elliot says the supermarket chain is not taking responsibility since the carwash was working fine before and after the incident.
“I had only had the car two months,” said Elliot in the article. “…It has only got 2,000 miles on the clock.”
Elliot will pay at least £4,000 to repair the car. Meanwhile, he will take a bicycle to work, noted the article.
