ROCKFORD, Ill. — Carwash veterans have plans for a new car and pet wash, according to the Rockford Register Star.
The $3 million Extreme Clean Car Wash Co. site hopes to be open by December, noted the article.
Owners Dan Gunsteen and Keith Knockeart are partners in the carwash business. “We’re excited,” Gunsteen said in the article. “We know there is nothing in the area like this.”

Carwash packages range from a three-minute automated express wash for $3, to a $15 wash with hot wax, said the article. Pet owners can purchase 10 minutes in the self-service pet wash for $7.
The business will take over a site formerly occupied by Ryan Family Steak House. Ald. Joseph Chiarelli, chairman of the city’s Codes and Regulations Committee, said the site is an eyesore, and he's glad to see it on its way to re-development, stated the article.
“I’m happy to see that get back on the tax rolls with a good development,” he said in the article.
