New York carwash meeting includes baseball and an education

REXFORD, N.Y. — The group took in a tour and game at the Syracuse Chiefs’ stadium.

REXFORD, N.Y. — The New York State Car Wash Association (NYSCWA) held its spring membership meeting on May 19, according to a press release.

Attendees visited NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse, where Syracuse Chiefs General Manager Jason Smorol led them on a tour. The Chiefs are a AAA Washington Nationals affiliate.

After enjoying a boxed lunch, the group toured the McNeil & Co. insurance complex, stated the release. Speakers Mark Nash, Dave Dennison and Mike Benmosche discussed insurance claims and how to prevent them at a carwash.

Members then watched the Chiefs play at the stadium, reported the release. Member Amanda Kubarek of K&S Car Wash threw out the first pitch, and Michael Grubka of Delta Sonic won a bobblehead contest.

“This was a day full of networking, education and fun,” said NYSCWA President Walt Hartl in the release. “The folks at McNeil did an outstanding job and were the sponsors of today’s events. It was a really great day and if you missed it, you missed a lot.”

NYSCWA's next event is its annual trip to CitiField on June 16 at 7 p.m.
