CEO Nancy Kukovich said in the article, “Almost all of these kids have experienced some kind of trauma.” The nonprofit’s goal is to place the children back with their families.

The young people at the agency have structured days with a 5:30 a.m. wake-up call for breakfast, and they’re out the door by 7:15 for school, stated the article. Kids are not expelled either, and Kukovich shared in the article they don’t have runaways.
