JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — According to www.news4jax.com, a man believes that a serial burglar is responsible for robbing his carwash businesses in Jacksonville and Orange Park, Florida, 14 times over a 10-day period.
The owner, who wished to remain anonymous, has surveillance video of some of the robberies, which he showed News4Jax, the article continued.
One video shows a man using bolt cutters to pry open a control box at Clean Car Wash on Cassat Ave., the article noted, while another shows the culprit “ransacking the equipment room of an Emerson Street location,” where he found keys to unlock all the coin boxes at the wash and took thousands of dollars in quarters in addition to stealing $50,000 worth of cash and equipment.
The owner stated that he believes the same man was responsible for those thefts, the article added, and he also noted that a light-colored, older-model Toyota 4 Runner appears repeatedly on different surveillance videos.
The owner filed a police report for each burglary and is in touch with both the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office and the Orange Park Police Department, the article concluded.
