MINNEAPOLIS — A former payroll officer for Paradise Car Wash has been sentenced to prison for writing herself unauthorized checks totaling more than $330,000, according to CPApracticeadvisor.com.
Connie M. Rogers was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for theft by swindle, stated the article. She must also pay restitution of $335,773.40.
Rogers, 47, pleaded guilty in June. She told the carwash operators she stole to pay for health insurance and medical bills, noted the article.

According to the criminal complaint, the carwash owner confronted Rogers after noticing payroll discrepancies in 2012. She later admitted to stealing from 2007 and 2012, reported the article.
In 2005 Rogers was convicted of misdemeanor unemployment fraud, said the article.
