BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In a special podcast exclusive, Professional Carwashing & Detailing Assistant Editor Maria Woodie speaks with Michael Gillen, president and CEO of Ryko Solutions Inc., about the NACS Show and the carwash industry.

In the podcast, Gillen discusses what he is most looking forward to regarding the 2015 NACS Show, which is taking place Oct. 11-14 in Las Vegas. “We really love the NACS Show, it is truly one of the great events in the industry. It is where everybody in the industry comes together,” shares Gillen in the podcast. “All the key accounts are there, and we’re really looking forward to introducing new

.”

Gillen also discusses some of the challenges facing the carwash industry. “I think the biggest challenges are making sure you have the right equipment and the right product to deliver a clean car to the end consumer and deliver that experience to the end consumer,” asserts Gillen in the podcast.

“Washing a new car is kind of an emotional thing for a lot of people. They take pride in their automobiles,” he continues in the podcast. “It is kind of an extension of your home.”
