PARAGOULD, AR — A man was arrested at an AJ’s Convenience Store here after he reportedly set fire to the business’ carwash, the Paragould Daily Press reported.
The Oct. 23 story noted that police arrived at the scene and detained Kevin Lackey, 39. Two witnesses identified him as the person who had set the fire.

The fire was started inside the carwash using a block of wood and some newspapers. The metal wall of the stall was damaged, and the inside wall was still burning when officers showed up. A food tray and empty beer cans were discovered in the wash as well.

Lackey smelled of intoxicants and had trouble standing, and he was arrested on suspicion of felony first-degree criminal mischief, public intoxication and unlawful burning.
