MANHEIM, PA — The zoning board approved a variance request that will allow cars to be parked along the right way of Route 72 here, lancasteronline.com reported.
The Oct. 22 story stated that the property is home to Spangler’s Auto Detailing and Lancaster Car Co. An ordinance that prohibited owners of automotive businesses from parking vehicles along the road in the right of way went into effect in April.

The property owner was handed a notice of violation on July 19. While the decision essentially resolves the violation, it will still be upheld.
The board first heard testimony about the variance in early September, but they did not make a final decision until Oct. 17 due to unresolved issues. As a condition of approval, the property owner must paint a line marking the allowable distance from the road.
