BOISE, Idaho — A new Rocket Express carwash set to open in December will tie as the longest in the world at 240 feet, according to IdahoStatesman.com.
As stated by the article, “At 240 feet long, the carwash will matching length the Rocket Express that co-owners Joe and Janet Russell also run in Twin Falls.” The couple also owns another Rocket Express in Midvale, Utah, which opened in 2013.
The Twin Falls sister location was built in 2010 and currently holds the world’s record for length, the article added.
“We have just recently submitted an application with the Guinness World Records organization to document that the conveyor, at 240 feet in length, is in fact the world’s longest,” co-owner Joe Russell of Twin Falls said in the article. “I have also confirmed this past week, with Matt DeWolf, marketing director of the International Carwash Association that he/they are not [aware] of another conveyor in the world that measures 240 feet.”
The article reported the new Boise wash will include: a quarter of a million dollars in solar panels, an advanced reclaim system, dedicated express lanes for members and 36 free vacuums.
“Joe and Janet Russell are excited about Rocket Express’ expansion into the Treasure Valley and intend to relocate their home to the area,” the company said in a release.
