Repair center expands presence in North Carolina

CHICAGO — The Boyd Group continues its search for new collision repair locations to add to its existing network in the U.S. and Canada.

CHICAGO — The Boyd Group announced the opening of a Gerber Collision & Glass repair center in Jacksonville, North Carolina, according to a press release.

The opening follows the recent acquisition of the center, which previously operated as Moore Collision Center, on Sept. 10, stated the release.

“We are very happy to announce our expanded presence in North Carolina,” said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations, in the release. “This will help us serve new customers and provides us additional capacity to better serve our insurance partners. We anticipate additional growth in our portfolio and are on track to meet our targeted growth rate of [six] to 10 percent through single-store additions.”

The center is located on a major thoroughfare in the city, reported the release, and is co-located with the Moore Buick GMC dealership.

“Jacksonville has been recognized as one of the fastest growing small cities in the United States and is also home to the U.S. Marine Corps’ Camp Lejeune,” stated O’Day in the release. “We look forward to growing with the community and providing the Gerber brand of professional and friendly service that we are known for.”

Reaching new reclaim heights

There is a lot of variety in the carwash industry. Not only are there different types of washes, but the design, equipment, chemistry, staffing and service can greatly vary from one site to the next. However, there’s one non-negotiable constant in every wash: Water.

Since water — and lots of it — is so essential to this industry, it only makes sense to strive for ways to maximize every single drop. That’s where the reclaim process comes in. Collecting, rehabilitating and reusing as much water as possible is essential to protect the environment, the availability of resources and a carwash’s bottom line. That’s why industry leaders are currently driving innovation to find ways to reclaim even more water than ever.
