HALESOWEN, England — A hand carwash whose application had been rejected in March has submitted a new application for the same location, according to the Halesowen News.
The previous application was thrown out because the applicant did not provide sufficient information as to the scale, intensity and drainage capacity of the facility, said the article.
Residents and town councilors oppose the plans. They say it will be unsightly, noisy and out of place for the area, in addition to creating a traffic hazard, noted the article.

More than 150 locals have signed petitions against the business, stated the article.
Councilor Karen Shakespeare said vehicles parked on the road already create a hazard for drivers, and any cars queued in the road could add to the danger, explained the article.
Shakespeare has asked for the issue to go to committee so she can speak on behalf of residents, reported the article.
