Fredericksburg, Va. — On Saturday, Sept. 17, Rio Car Wash will host a charity event benefitting Empower House from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at both of its Fredericksburg area locations: 70 Sebring Dr. in Fredericksburg and 10050 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Massaponax, according to a company press release.
Rio Car Wash will donate 100 percent of their carwash sales for the entire day at both locations to the not-for-profit organization, stated the release.
Empower House, continued the release, has provided confidential domestic violence assistance, including a free and confidential 24-hour hotline, a temporary emergency shelter, information, referrals and advocacy in the city of Fredericksburg and the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Caroline since 1978.
Washes start at just $5 at the Stafford location and $3 at Massaponax, noted the release; there is no other cost involved, and those having their cars washed need only fill out a registration form.
Prize giveaways will include free carwashes, the release added.
