SCWA announces 1,200 convention attendees

ARLINGTON, TX — The Southwest Car Wash Association honored carwashes and industry leaders during the March Expo which focused on the challenges impacting businesses today.

ARLINGTON, TX — The 2012 Southwest Car Wash Association (SCWA) Convention & EXPO held here in early March was attended by more than 1,200 carwash owners and exhibitors, according to a press release.

The May 15 release stated that the Expo included three strong days of industry innovations, business solutions and unparalleled hospitality.

“As we brought the carwash and lube community together from around the Southwest, the SCWA 2012 Convention & EXPO focused on the challenges and forces impacting business in general and the carwash industry in particular. SCWA wants to be on the leading edge of what is happening in the carwash industry and to provide our members with the most relevant information and resources available,” said SCWA President Shane Weiss of AstroMatic Car Wash in Alice, TX.

The convention began with a CEO Forum where a recognized economist discussed upcoming business trends. Next was the keynote address by Brad McCoy, and it covered how business owners can be more productive.

The annual awards presentation honored iWash of Texas as the 2012 Self-Serve/Automatic Car Wash of the Year and Clean Getaway Car Wash & Detail as the 2012 Conveyor/Exterior of the Year. Weiss will also continue as the president of SCWA.
