ARLINGTON, Texas — The SCWA Convention was a “really great way to start out the year,” according to Charlie Gates, from Octopus Car Wash, according to a press release.  

SCWA President Clayton Clark said the EXPO focused around “changing the game in carwashing, lube and detailing.” Clark added that this year was the “largest attended” SCWA EXPO, and that the event continues to raise the bar higher each year.

There were over 1,400 carwash owners and exhibitors in attendance. The CEO of Mister Car Wash, John Lai, spoke about how wash owners can use the “dynamics of change to be more competitive,” according to the release.

The event also included the “Annual Awards” presentation. The 2014 Self-Service/Automatic Car Wash of the Year award went to Splish Splash Auto Bath.

The 2015 SCWA Convention & EXPO will take place Feb. 22-24 in Arlington, Texas.
