WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. — Andrew Perry has owned Automotive Elegance carwash for 24 years. His business usually peaks in the spring, but this winter has been particularly bad for his wash, according to the Bedford Daily Voice.
“When the cold subsides, I’m sure the car wash business will be back in business,” said Perry. “This is the worst January I’ve had in at least 10 years.”

However, the owner of Star Auto Spa, Peter Ponga, said his business has been doing well this winter.
“We get a lull when it’s snowing, but you have to get that salt off your car, so we’re busy.”
