WOBURN, MA — A cleaning machine supplier introduced a steam cleaner made specifically for the airline industry, according to a press release.
The Jan. 2 release stated that the new truck-mounted cleaner was designed to maintain carpeted surfaces within planes and jets. Also, an optional upholstery tool can convert the system to clean fabric seats, cushions and other cloth surfaces.
Student chooses waterless detailing over airplanes
“High passenger traffic in a concentrated area can make the carpeted surfaces in aircrafts dirty very quickly. Therefore, carpets require regular attention, more than most other areas in an aircraft,” Matthew Baratta, Daimer Industries Inc.® spokesperson, said in the release.
Planes and jets include expensive carpeting and seats, and both must be properly maintained for the passengers’ benefits. Keeping the fabrics clean can increase longevity as well.
