CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Customers can donate to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by purchasing a $1 Miracle Balloon at Stripes Convenience Stores through May 5, according to a press release.
Over the past 15 years, Stripes has donated more than $5 million to the charity, noted the release. The company raised more than $1.1 million in 2014’s spring campaign.
“At Stripes, we are committed to improving the communities where we live and work,” said Eduardo Pereda, vice president of marketing at Stripes, in the release. “We are proud of our passionate store teams and generous customers who time after time show their support for this great cause and helping local children.”

Funds raised during the effort are unrestricted, so hospitals use them where they are needed most, reported the release. The donations will be used locally.
Every donor will receive a free 12-ounce Slush Monkey drink and buy-one-get-one free peanuts or Trail Mix snacks, shared the release.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals include 170 member hospitals across the U.S. and Canada, stated the release.
