CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Foundation recently received a $183,930 donation from Stripes® Convenience Stores, according to CSPnet.com.
The funds were raised during Stripes’ 11th annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) paper pin-up fundraising campaign this past spring, stated the article.
Customers were asked by Stripes employees to “Put Their Money Where The Miracles Are” and purchase a $1 Miracle Balloon icon to help raise funds for CMNH, reported the article.
As a thank you, customers were rewarded with a free 12-ounce Slush Monkey drink and a buy-one-get-one free Smokin’ Barrel snack promotion for every donation made, continued the article.
Stripes received $1,422,630 in donations from more than 675 c-store locations, added the article, surpassing its goal of raising over $1.4 million.
The donations will directly benefit 13 CMNH throughout New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, informed the article.
“What an honor it is to present more than $1.4 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said Eduardo Pereda, Stripes vice president of marketing, at a check presentation event to representatives from CMNH. “Together, with the generosity of our customers and the support of our passionate team members, we surpassed our highest expectations.”
Stripes has raised more than $6 million in total for CMNH through its partnership, noted the article.
